Israel’s attack on Gaza through land, air and sea reaffirms that the Zionist entity’s only goal is to make the Palestinians give up, said Oman’s Al Watan. “Israel is encouraged by the international community’s complicit silence, growing Arab concerns and burdens and the fact that the powers that oppose it are currently busy with calamities wreaked by terrorism. The fact that Israel chose the 47th anniversary for the torching of Al Aqsa Mosque to launch an attack on Gaza is perhaps the clearest message of all. The Palestinians have to take Israeli threats and these escalation attempts on the Gaza Strip very seriously. The Palestinians have to set up a joint central operations room to unify their tactics if fighting breaks out and put an end to the divide so they can come together and agree on a comprehensive national strategy,” the paper said.

Israel’s latest escalation in Gaza has no justification, said Qatar’s Al Raya. “Israel’s attack is merely an attempt to divert attention from its continued crimes and attacks on Al Aqsa Mosque and expanding colonial activities in the West Bank. The responsibility for the escalations in Gaza and other Palestinian areas falls solely on Israel. Steps taken by the Palestinians are always a legitimate response to Israeli aggression, because as the Israeli people’s support for the government lessens, the government quickly carries out military operations against the Palestinians ... And yet, Gaza still waits for the international community to end the injustice imposed on it by referring the Israeli officials responsible for the wars to the international justice system and seeking to lift the suffocating siege.

Battle in Yemen

It seems that a final victory is on the horizon for the legitimate forces in Yemen, who are engaging in decisive battles against Al Houthi rebels and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh, said Saudi Arabia’s Al Yaum. “It is clear to observers that the current battles in Taiz and Sana’a are in favour of the national army and popular resistance, following the sweeping victories they achieved in various areas of the Taiz governorate with the backing of the Arab coalition’s air forces. The Arab coalition had also been continuously providing backup to the national army and popular resistance in various battles in Yemen. Currently, the focus is on the Saada governorate where Al Houthis and Saleh’s forces’ military equipment and sites are located. The goal of the national army and popular resistance is to completely wipe out those military sites to further weaken the rebels.”

The rebels in Yemen are continuing to wage their war for the sake of seizing power at the expense of Yemeni peoples’ lives, security and future, said UAE’s Al Bayan.

“It is a war that led to many losses due to the actions of both the rebels and terrorists who are seeking to destroy Yemen. The Arab coalition and legitimate forces are well aware that the battle has pretty much been decided and that the rebel and tyrannical parties in Yemen will soon meet their fate. It is time for all to realise that this war was started by the rebels and that they intend to continue by all means necessary and will end up slaughtering Yemenis and displacing the people. This war will deprive the Yemenis from their basic rights to education, health care and a safe life.
