Muscat: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) vessels Al Mansour and Musandam rescued a Yemeni boat with 10 Yemenis on board after the engine broke down 120 nautical miles South East of Al Halaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate.
Despite the rough weather conditions, the crew of the Al Mansour Vessel extended humanitarian aid to the boat crew, reported Oman News Agency (ONA). Al Mansour engineers also provided the required technical assistance and dragged the boat to the Al Halaniyat Islands. The boat was then tugged by RNO’s Musandam to Salalah Port and handed over to the Royal Oman Police (ROP) Coast Guard.
