Karachi: A fighter aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed outside a small town in a south-western province of Pakistan while it was on its training mission, an official on Tuesday said.
The Mirage Aircraft, which flew from Masroor Air Base in Karachi, was airborne near Othal town, 60 kilometres west of Karachi in Balochistan province when it crashed.
The pilot ejected safely and the plane crashed in a deserted place causing no injuries, PAF spokesman squadron leader Mohammad Nadeem said.
In May at least four PAF pilots died when the two training aircraft collided in mid-air and the debris of the aircraft fell on houses of a small town of Mardan district in north-western Khyber Pakhtun Khaw province. The wreckage injured 11 civilians on the ground.
