A car erupted in flames on Sunday afternoon in Ras Al Khor Industrial area.
The SUV driven caught fire at around 6.39pm on Aden St., in Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 1.
Dubai Civil Defence brought the fire under control at around 6.57pm, witnesses said.
The owner of the car appeared unhurt.
At the onset of the fire, two Good Samaritans were seen trying to put out the fire using fire extinguishers from nearby warehouses.
Small explosions were heard as the fire raged.
It is not known what caused the fire but witnesses said it could have been an electrical problem.
Traffic that built up was diverted as Civil Defence officers tackled the blaze.
