Abu Dhabi: The Zakat Fund announced total revenues of Dh18.74 million during the first five months of this year, achieving an increase of 18.15 per cent over the same period last year.
Abdullah Bin Aqeeda Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Zakat Fund, attributed the revenue increase to the trust and confidence of customers in the 24 traditional, electronic and smart zakat collection channels which, in turn, contributed significantly to bringing more revenue to the Zakat Fund.
Al Muhairi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Zakat Fund’s customers, stressing the continuous work of the fund to raise awareness of the public about Zakat duty through various means available.
