Sharjah: The Sharjah Water Festival was officially opened at the Al Majaz Waterfront on Wednesday.
The 10-day festival, in its sixth edition, hosts a variety of activities including a number of entertainment shows, games and recreational activities.
The festival will include the popular Russian circus ‘Magic on Water’, which will perform two to three times a day after 4pm.
Several 30 minute puppet shows from Italy, Myanmar, the US, and Poland will also take place at the festival along with a number of musical shows.
Daily performances will include the Ohmies American musical, Sindbad’s Adventures, and Mouj Fantasy show which will take place on the festival’s main stage.
A carnival, heritage village, and a comic animation show are also included in this year’s festival programme.
The festival, which attracted over 180,000 visitors last year, aims to create fun for the entire family through its range of outdoor activities.
