Dubai: Have you accepted the Dubai Fitness Challenge yet?
Residents and government officials have been exercising every day for 30 minutes since the Dubai Fitness Challenge was launched on October 20.
Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and chairman of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, has now become the latest Shaikh – and minister – to accept the challenge.
In a video posted on social media and shared multiple times since Saturday, Shaikh Nahyan and Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, were captured on camera as they exercised at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.

In the video, Shaikh Nahyan thanked Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for the 30-day fitness challenge.
He also pointed out that this unique initiative is an incentive for all groups of society to exercise daily, which has a positive impact on the health of people and society, especially among the youth and students.
The initiative, now in its second week, also saw Shaikh Mansoor Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum joining a game of tug-of-war with Dubai Police during the Dubai Fitness Challenge carnival at Kite Beach.
Shaikh Mansoor also posted a video on his Instagram account, as he joined people with determination for the Dubai 30x30 challenge, as they raced on their wheelchair cycles, lifted heavy weights and played badminton.
