Dubai: The UAE will be celebrating its 46th National Day on December 2, and residents have already taken to social networking sites to send their messages of love and hope to His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

In a video that was posted recently by Dubai Post – a digital platform that showcases issues, stories, and events in the UAE –  a group of students from different nationalities send their messages to Shaikh Mohammad.

The students, from Gems Al Barsha National School, talk to the camera and express how they feel about the UAE and even about the Vice President’s family.

One young girl, said: “Dear Shaikh Mohammad, I would like to meet [you] at Shakespeare. I would like your whole family, especially Jalila, to come. We will play and go to the pool, and we’ll have some yummy macaroons.”

Another girl can be seen looking proudly at the camera, as she said: “Dear Shaikh Mohammad, I feel safe when you are in the country, and when I see your pictures.”
