Dubai: A video of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince in a chopper has captured the interest of social media users in the UAE.
In the 30-second video clip, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is shown flying a helicopter during an inspection tour of the country.
The video has been reposted and viewed thousands of times, accompanied with the hashtags Mohammad_Bin_Zayed and shkmbz.
The footage, which was broadcast on Sunday, received a number of comments from residents who expressed their thanks for the inspection tour.
The aerial tour was made after a week of strong storms and heavy rainfall affected wadis and rural areas, which led to flooding in some parts of the country.
On Monday, Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that in the last two days, its Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Team responded to a number of calls from the public.
All the emergencies were rain-related, which included people stuck in wadis and homes getting flooded. No casualties were reported.
The UAE Storm's account on Twitter also showed how the storms affected the northern parts of Ras Al Khaimah last week.
