Fujairah: Two young Emiratis — a man and a woman in their early 20s — were found dead inside a vehicle in Fujairah on Saturday morning.
Brigadier Mohammad Ganem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, told Gulf News that the vehicle was found in Thuwban area in Fujairah.
The incident came to light when the operations room received a call at around 7am on Saturday from a witness who suspected the vehicle and informed police.
The mountainous and remote area is located between Masafi and Al Dhaid.
Brigadier Al Kaabi said when police patrol team arrived, they found the two already dead inside in the vehicle.
Police said they have established the identities of the deceased.
Their bodies were taken to the forensic laboratory for autopsy to determine the cause of the death.
Investigations are ongoing.
