Dubai: The Electric Run returns to Dubai on November 4, with a new and upgraded ‘recharged’ experience at Zabeel Park.

Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run will features new course lands and wearable technology in its second edition in Dubai.

The new venue at Zabeel Park, will host the 5km night run course, which will be laid out through the palm trees, lakeside views and green surroundings.

Electric runners will make their way through nine themed courselands, including two new Disco and EDM (Electronic Dance music) dance party zones, and the Electric Avenue that is new to Dubai.

The event aims to encourage the UAE community to lead a healthy and active lifestyle through a wide range of events and programmes.

“This much awaited event has proven to be a favourite in the UAE calendar as friends and families enjoy an evening of music and light in a mesmerising atmosphere that takes place in the exquisite venue that is Zabeel Park,” said Andrew Phillips, director of Marketing and Digital Media at Daman.

The event will debut the electroband, an illuminating LED bracelet that syncs with various soundtracks of each Courseland and with the beats of other runners.

The Electroband, which was recently seen in action on Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour, can also be permanently switched to motion-sensitive mode, adding a new dimension to the running experience.
