The woman, in her 50s, came to the UAE on a visit visa.

A policeman from Sharjah Airport approached the woman and asked her about her condition, and why she was in distress.

The woman informed the policeman that her flight had taken off without her because she had arrived late.

She added that she didn’t have any money to stay in the country, and as a result she was unable to go to a hotel, or even arrange for food, until her departure the following day.

The woman was provided a room in the airport hotel and a car to transport her to the airport the following day, and assigned an officer to help her finish her travel procedures.

Major Al Subousi said the Community Police Department was founded to serve the people and the community.

Sharjah Police is keen to maintain the safety of passengers and residents, citizens and visitors, and to assist them at any time, he added.
