Sharjah: The Sharjah Leadership Program (SLP), held a ceremony on Wednesday for its fourth batch of graduates at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre.

The ceremony, which celebrated 30 graduates, was attended by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The programme, which falls under Sharjah Tatweer Forum, aims to produce forward-thinking leaders in both the private and public sectors.

“Since its inception, the Forum has sought to strengthen young cadres in the sector of business and projects through the development of talents and skills, equipping them with everything that motivates innovation and creativity,” said Jasem Al Beloushi, member of the Board of Trustees of Rubu’a Qarn Foundation for Creating Future leaders and Innovators.

Meanwhile, SLP4 graduate Dr Adel Sajwani, a family physician specialist at the Ministry of Health, commented on his experience. “The programme taught me a variety of leadership skills with the guidance of distinguished experts at the American University of Sharjah and Cambridge University in the UK. Their models enabled me to recognise that leadership is not about title or position. It is about how you influence others and produce more leaders.”

Ahmad Al Suwaidi, Head of Commercial Section at Sharjah Economic Development Department, said, “I always insist, since completing the programme, that it is arguably one of the best because of its academic background with the American University of Sharjah. It is distinguished by its expert individuals who have a hands-on practical approach, which utilises the best practices in the UAE and in the region.”
