Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will organise a series of activities and sponsorship events in connection with the International Day of Happiness, which coincides with the launch of the fourth edition of Happiness Week. The move is part of RTA’s endeavours to turn the happiness concept into a reality.

Highlighting these events, Ahmad Mahboub, executive director of Customers Happiness, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector at the RTA, said, “The Happiness Week events are held by the National Programme for Happiness and Positivity under the auspices of the United Nations. More than 10,000 people from government entities and the business sector representing more than 200 nationalities are taking part in this event. The RTA will also sponsor the Happiness Journey event held by the Presidential Affairs Office, which will kick off at 9–10 am tomorrow from the Dubai Water Canal in the direction of Box Park on Al Wasl Road and return to the starting point. “The Happiness Week will also include Tastahal event where several organisations, departments, teams, individuals and service centres who have shown high efficiency in delivering their tasks of bringing happiness to people, will be honoured, besides honouring the best service,” he added.
