Abu Dhabi: Parks and gardens will offer a great alternative to those who want to celebrate Eid and spend peaceful hours with families and friends across the capital and Al Ain.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world’s largest indoor theme park will be hosting Speed Week 2012: The Science of Speed, daily from 11 am- 9 pm, starting from October 26 to November 4. 

Science of Speed host fun activities for the entire family including an energetic Speed of Sound live show, an interactive Science Lab and Speed Week Studio for kids.

Tickets start from Dh225 with unlimited access to several games and services within the park daily from 11 am to 8 pm.

“Parks and gardens across the capital have developed a great deal of offers to create the spirit of Eid. My family and I are going to gather in the Ferrari World along with friends to enjoy our time as our children will also be able to play and have fun,” Khalid Mohammad, a 23 year-old university student, told Gulf News.

Amani Ahmad, a 44-year-old housewife, is also preparing herself to spend the second day of Eid in the Ferrari World.

“Opening the gates of parks daily from early morning till evening is a great move, especially for me, as I have three children and they do love to spend their times at parks. Offering science labs, speed week studios and races is a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn how to drive through mini streets in Ferrari cars just their size,” she added.

People will add more delight to their Eid Festival by riding Belevari Marine Catamaran Cruises, which will leave daily from the Emirates Palace Marina, to get out on the cool Arabian waters.

The Largest sailing catamaran is offering 10 per cent discount on tours over Eid.

Additionally, Jebel Hafeet has long been a tourist attraction and a coolest place for families to spend Eid at and now Wadi Adventure has added another reason to visit such spectacular region of the UAE.

Wadi Adventure offers its visitors during Eid discount rates starting from October 25-29. It’s ‘regular package’ is Dh250 and starts from 10am to 7pm including admission, swimming pool and kids splash area access, rafting, airpark, and climbing wall access, whereas the ‘sunset package’ is Dh 50 starting from 6pm till 10pm.

Also Al Ain Zoo, with its 10am-10pm extended Eid hours, will host dance performances and array of shows which paying homage to the diverse cultures and making Eid a memorable experience including Al Harbia, a local traditional dance, Dabka, an energetic Indian dance, and many traditional African dances.

A captivating fire show performance promises to fascinate audiences while guests can also enjoy the eagle and falcon presentations.
