Santhosh Michael from Kerala who landed in Dubai on a visit visa was missing from September 6

Dubai: An Indian cook, who went missing since last Tuesday, has been found dead, his nephew said on Sunday.
Santhosh Michael, 36, from Kerala had landed in Dubai on a visit visa on September 3, and had gone missing from September 6, according to his nephew, Sijo K.G.
“The police called me yesterday saying his body was found from Al Quoz,” Sijo who had filed a man missing complaint told Gulf News on Sunday.
He said he identified his uncle’s body now lying at the mortuary.
“I don’t know what happened to him. The police said [forensic] examination results will come after Eid holidays and nothing can be ascertained before that. I really don’t have any answers to tell my family,” a sobbing Sijo said.
Michael, a bachelor, had come over seeking employment at a catering company near Al Quoz Mall where Sijo is also working as a cook.
“He started his trial on Saturday night itself. He doesn’t know the places here and he had lost his way to the company on Monday night. His shift was at 12 midnight. He finished duty by 11am on Tuesday. He was supposed to go back to the accommodation in the company van. But he missed it and walked back. I’m afraid he lost his way again,” Sijo had told Gulf News on Friday.
Michael had left his passport, visit visa and wallet in their accommodation, near New Grand Mall, when he went to work. Sijo had handed over the clothes and toothbrush used by his uncle to the police as instructed by them on Friday.
