Abu Dhabi: The body of martyr Ahmad Hbaitan Al Beloushi, who died after being wounded while serving with the UAE forces in Yemen, was brought to Abu Dhabi on Friday. Full military honours were accorded to the fallen soldier at Al Bateen Airport in a ceremony attended by a number of senior armed forces officers.

Later, Shaikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, performed the funeral prayer over the body of Al Beloushi at the Shaikh Ahmad Bin Rashid Al Mu’alla mosque in Umm Al Quwain.

Al Baloushi died on Thursday in Germany from injuries suffered in an incident in Marib in September while on duty as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s ‘Operation Restoring Hope’ in support of the legitimate government of Yemen.

A number of Shaikhs, local officials, senior army officers besides a large gathering of Emirati citizens and residents also took part in the funeral prayers for Al Beloushi.

The gathering prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow his mercy and eternal peace on the martyr’s soul and to grant his family patience and fortitude to bear the loss.
