Abu Dhabi: The five slaughterhouses across the capital will be open from 6am to 6pm, and from 10pm to 1:30am, during Ramadan, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City announced on Sunday. The longer working hours will be introduced to cater to the increased demand for slaughterhouse facilities during Ramadan.
Last Ramadan, the facilities processed more than 70,000 goats and about 2,000 camels and cows, the Municipality statement said.
