Dubai: The list of overnight millionaires in the UAE just keeps on growing – thanks to the lottery promotions that are hugely popular among expatriate communities.

The latest to join the ranks of residents who have acquired instant fortunes are two pals from India, one of them works as a foreman in Sharjah.

Pinto Paul Thommana, a 36-year-old Indian from Kerala and his friend, Francis Sebastian, are the latest winners of the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Draw.

The two had earlier purchased a ticket bearing numbers 2465 online. It was picked as the winning ticket during the latest draw at Dubai International Airport on Tuesday morning.
