Dubai: A lucky Indian has made himself millions of dirhams richer this morning after hitting the jackpot in the latest Big Ticket Draw in Abu Dhabi.

Sunil Mappatta Krishnan Kutty Nair, a married expatriate based in Abu Dhabi, will walk away with Dh10 million, the second-largest reward given away this year.

The winner works as a sales executive. He will be splitting the pot money with four of his friends, namely  Dipindas, Abhilash, Sainudheen and Shamshudheen, who contributed to the ticket cost.

With tickets costing Dh500, lottery players usually pitch in to participate in the draw and split the prize later.

The winning numbers from today’s “The Big Ten Series 188” raffle at the arrivals hall in Abu Dhabi International Airport are 016299.

The lucky ticket was picked by last month’s winner of Dh12 million, Harikrishnan V. Nair, an Indian expatriate based in Ajman.

Today's winner is currently travelling in India. Nine other Indian nationals also won cash prizes ranging between Dh10,000 and Dh100,000.
