Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi National Hotels company (ADNH) has pledged Dh3 million in support of Sandooq Al Watan, a philanthropic fund set up to support Emiratis in education, careers, and encourage entrepreneurship.
The community initiative was launched by a group of Emirati businessmen.
Shaikh Ahmad Mohammad Sultan Al Daheri, vice-chairman of ADNH, said Sandooq Al Watan “amplifies the efforts and plans laid out to build a better future for the UAE and its people”.
Mohammad Al Qadhi, general manager of Sandooq Al Watan, thanked ADNH for its contribution. “The overwhelming support we have received reflects the UAE business community’s commitment to playing an effective role in the sustainable development of all sectors,” he said.
The initiative seeks to involve the business community and private sector in the development efforts and to encourage the public to donate. It also allows citizens and local companies to donate and volunteer to help achieve the fund’s goals and programmes.
