Dubai: Free massages brought smiles to the visitors of the World Government Summit who were happy to take a break away from the hussle and bustle of the event.

"Over a 100 people received free massages so far. And the majority got a foot massage," said Mona San Gabrien, Talise Spa Coordinator.

The visitors have the choice between choosing a head, shoulder or feet massage. The massage duration is for a maximum of 10 minutes and the spa service is available for all visitors during the three days of the summit from 8am to 7pm.

"After walking for long periods of time around the summit, people feel that their feet are tired so they come in for a feet massage. Others prefer head massages for mental relaxation," said Rahul Nag, the Yoga instructor at Talise Spa said.

The massages offered at the spa are dry ones, without oil.

There is also a separate room for VIP officials to get a massage at the summit.

Louisa Havdel, who came from Sweden to attend the summit, said offering free massages is an exquisite idea.

"It is what you expect from Dubai. After the 16-hour programme, it is nice to have a small break and treat yourself," she said.

Farah Yousef, who was patiently waiting for her turn to get a massage, said she couldn't believe when she first heard of the free service.

"It is amazing and completely unexpected. It's a great way to unwind," she said.
