Dubai: The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), holds the first UAE Public Policy Forum in Shaikh Maktoum Hall at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 12 to 13.

Held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, it features various panel discussions among leading local and international education experts and specialists, as well as top decision-makers in the field. Themed ‘Future Directions of Education Policy’, the forum will discuss challenges and opportunities for education policies in the UAE.

The forum will host Hussain Bin Ebrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Jameela Bint Salem Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education; Dr Ahmad bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; Dr Essa Al Bastaki, President of University of Dubai; Dr David Johnson, Education Policy Specialist at Oxford University; Professor M Ramesh, Unesco Chair on Social Policy Design in Asia; Dino Varkey, Managing Director of GEMS Education, and Frode Mauring, Resident Representative of UNDP.

The UAE Public Policy Forum has partnered with numerous organisations, including UAE Ministry of Education, GEMS Education, Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance and United Nations Development Program, to develop the framework of education public policies.
