Dubai: Emirates Islamic has contributed Dh500,000 to Al Jalila Foundation to support its medical research, education, and treatment of needy patients.

The contribution is being provided through Emirates Islamic Charity Fund.

“We are proud to support the noble work carried out by Al Jalila Foundation by contributing towards research that addresses health challenges prevalent in the region and offering affordable access to healthcare to the needy. We strongly believe in the role of the private sector in supporting community development initiatives and hope to continue to lead by example,” said Awatif Al Harmoodi, General Manager, Operational Governance, Emirates Islamic.

Al Jalila Foundation is a global philanthropic health care organisation, which was launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Dr Abdul Kareem Sultan Al Olama, Chief Executive Officer of Al Jalila Foundation, said such partnerships are instrumental in helping them to improve patients’ lives, be it through medical treatment, education or research. “We are grateful for the generosity of Emirates Islamic Charity Fund as it will further empower Al Jalila Foundation to support UAE Vision 2021 for a happier and healthier nation,” he said.
