Dubai: The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), which operates under the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hyundai-Juma Al Majid Est. to ensure the availability of child safety seats in taxis. The initiative signals the keenness of both parties to consolidate their strategic partnership and upgrade the level of services on offer.

Dr Yousuf Mohammad Al Ali, CEO of the Dubai Taxi Corporation, and Axel Dreyer, President of Hyundai Motor Group in the UAE, signed the MoU in the presence of several managers and executives from both sides.

“The MoU provides for Hyundai Motor Group to provide child safety seats to DTC’s taxicabs in support of community initiatives. The MoU also provides for the deployment of Hyundai Genesis [Class] vehicles for use in DTC’s limousine fleet in order to probe customers experience about this type of vehicles,” said Al Ali.

The MoU, Al Ali said, signals the keenness of Dubai Taxi Corporation to forge strategic partnerships, enhance customer experiences and transform the corporate. “The MoU also allows for conducting benchmarks to share the best practices by sponsoring and launching communal initiatives and activities of each party,” he said.

Dreyer said, “We are delighted to forge such partnership with Dubai Taxi Corporation to realise our objectives and demonstrate our CSR [corporate social responsibility]. This MoU also reflects our unremitting commitment to boost our cooperation with RTA as this initiative offers a precious opportunity for us to reaffirm our commitment to upgrade our services to a level exceeding customer expectations.”
