Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, celebrated his 68th birthday last Saturday – and the family took to social media to wish him well.

Shaikh Mohammed was born on July 15, 1949, in the Al Maktoum home in Shindagha near the Dubai Creek. He is the third of four sons for Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
The Ruler of Dubai also shares his birthday with two of his grandchildren, Mohammad Bin Majid and Dubai Bint Majid, who were born in 2015.
Shaikh Mohammad is one of the most influential leaders in the world, with 2.3m followers on his @hhshkmohd Instagram account and and 7.9 million followers on his @HHShkMohd Twitter account.
Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammad posted a video on Instagram, with Shaikh Mohammad’s grandchildren wishing a happy birthday for “Baba Mohammad”, in both Arabic and English.
Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad also posted a photo of her father Shaikh Mohammad, with the caption: “Happiest birthday to the best father anyone can ask for # 1 always.”
