Sharjah: A 62-year-old doctor died after falling from the balcony of his apartment located in 20th floor in Sharjah on Monday evening.
Police were called to the spot after eyewitnesses saw the man falling to the ground.
A Sharjah Police official confirmed to Gulf News on Thursday that the Iraqi doctor, identified only by his initials O.S.T., died instantly due to the impact of the fall.
“Police and ambulances rushed to the scene of the incident after police operation room received reports about the incident around 5pm,” officials said.
The man fell from the balcony of an apartment on a 20th floor in building located in Al Khan area.
The body was moved to Al Kuwaiti Hospital at around 6pm on Monday, then to forensic laboratory for autopsy.
A team from Al Buhaira Police has launched an investigation into the incident..
