Ajman: The Department of Economic Development (DED Ajman) has announced the launch of several new electronic services to help facilitate procedures for investors and businesses in Ajman.

The new services provided by the Economic Registration and Licensing Department include issuance, renewal and revocation of economic licences, and renewal of licences for joint venture, minor recommendation, limited liability and proprietary companies.

The services will also allow residents to cancel licences for individual companies, service agents and for limited liability companies.

“We have launched a set of innovative, smart and electronic services that meet the needs of the business and investment community and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction,” said Ali Eisa Al Nuaimi, Director General of the DED Ajman.

The DED Ajman has also introduced three new services for the Consumer Protection and Control Department aimed at facilitating transactions through the eServices portal. The move aims to eliminate personal visits to customer service centres for matters like fixing of price lists, review of trademark disputes and issues with commercial agencies.

These services were previously available only through customer service centres but now these can be availed through the website and the smart phone app of the Department of Economic Development. The e-services will also allow customers to pay fees electronically through e-dirham.

“We look forward to reducing customers’ time, cost and efforts in completing transactions. It will help improve the business environment for the local and foreign investments,” added Al Nuaimi.
