Dubai: Al Ghurair Centre has launched a new social initiative aimed at making three people’s wishes come true this Ramadan, it was announced.

As part of the initiative called ‘Omniyati’ — which is Arabic for ‘make a wish’, the shopping centre has organised special engaging activities which visitors can participate in while helping someone fulfil a special wish this Ramadan, organisers said.

Following the purchase of a special Dh25 voucher from the Customer Service Desk during this Ramadan, visitors will get to enjoy a range of engaging activities in the “Mystery Maze” — a Middle Eastern spectacle with mysterious delights behind every hidden door.

Participants can then redeem their Dh25 voucher at any of the mall’s retail outlets, with Al Ghurair Centre donating the amount to the special “Omniyati” cause.

This entails an offer to visitors at the mall to log onto the Omniyati portal — www.alghuraircentre.com and nominate themselves, a friend or a relation who they believe should have a special wish come true.

The Omniyati portal will be live and ready to accept wishes from the first day of Ramadan, they said. The last date of submission is July 1, 2017. Al Ghurair Centre will announce the three winners to have their wishes made true on July 8.

Speaking about the campaign in line with the Year of Giving, Sultan Al Ghurair, CEO, Al Ghurair Properties, said Ramadan is ‘a time of giving’ and they wanted to celebrate this.

“One of the most simple things we can give one another is joy, and through our ‘Omniyati’ initiative we are eager to bring real joy to three people’s lived by life by making their wish come true,” he said.

This campaign, he added, combines the two visions of the nation which revolves around creating happiness and giving. “In addition, our visitors can enjoy some exciting entertainment and feel part of a very special initiative this Ramadan.”
