Dubai: A team of volunteers from Dubai Customs and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) distributed food packages to hundreds of labourers in industrial area.

The charity activity came as part of the fourth phase of the Zad Al Khair initiative, launched by Dubai Customs earlier this year to provide assistance to the needy across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

A total of 48 volunteers from both entities, including university students participated in the distribution of 360 food baskets to the labourers.

Fouad Al Shehhi, Head of the Dubai Customs Volunteer Team, said the Zad Al Khair initiative was developed as a contribution from Dubai Customs’ employees with the aim of providing assistance to needy families across the UAE in collaboration with strategic partners from government entities.
