Ramallah: A Palestinian resident from occupied East Jerusalem was admitted to the ICU of Hadasa Hospital after a group of colonists attacked him while he was on his way home.
Sources told Gulf News that the 28 year old Farid Al Toubasi finished up his work duty in West Jerusalem and returned home back in occupied East Jerusalem but on the way home a group of colonists met him on Halil Street where they hit him on the head and the chest with sharp tools.
The sources stressed that Al Toubasi has gone in coma and the medical sources told his family members and representatives of the public establishments of Jerusalem that he is under very critical health conditions.
The sources said that the eye witnesses told the victim’s family members that about 30 colonists attacked Al Toubasi and put him down on the floor and hit him with tools only because he is an Arab.
The sources said that one of the eye witnesses to the crime of the colonists was an Israeli owner of a restaurant who reported the case to the authorities which instructed the hospital to dispatch an ambulance which rushed the victim to the hospital.
The resident of the Arab neighborhood of Silwan in East Jerusalem held the Israeli police responsible for the losing of sight of the 20 years Ahmad Al Jaabah because of the extensive use of a certain dangerous type of the tear gas.
An official statement of the Wadi Helwa Information Center said that Jaabah was hospitalized in the clashes in which Samer Sarhan was killed by an Israeli guard. Jaabah suffered serious pains in the eyes and was on Sunday announced blind, where the hospital in which he admitted clearly stated in its medical report that the man lost his sight because of the tear gas.
The statement said that the Israeli police then used the tear gas excessively and randomly against the protestors of Silwan.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police raided the houses of the relatives of the myrter Samer Sarhan and arrested the myrter’s older brother Ali and his eight years old son Mohammad of the myrter.
