Ramallah: Bethlehem underwent a major Israeli invasion on Saturday night after it was reported that an Israeli colonist couple came under machine gun fire.
Sunday morning saw the remaining Israeli troops pull out after overnight house raids in the village of Bateir. Roadblocks remained in place.
Saleh Soboh, Chief of the Bethlehem Governorate, told Gulf News that Israeli roadblocks made exiting the city very difficult.
