Dubai: A total of 6,000 transactions were cleared by the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in four hours on the first day of the Eid Al Adha holiday on Thursday.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, director-general of the Dubai Residency Department, told Gulf News that the section will work in shifts to facilitate public transactions.
He said members of the public could call the toll-free number 8005111 for urgent transactions.
