Dubai: In order to cope with the increased number of visa applications and other transaction the Dubai Residency Department will open some of its offices at night.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department, on Sunday said the residency office at Bin Souqat Centre in Rashidiya will be open from 9:30pm till 12am from Sunday till the end of Eid Al Fitr.
"We are going to open our office at Bin Suqat to cope with the increased number of visa applications especially before Eid,” he said.
Major General Al Merri said the number of visitors increased in those days.
“This will be open for tourist companies in order to help them to finish their transaction as soon as we can,” he said.
Major General Al Merri said the counters for the online service of the department will be also available at that office and that will make it easy to issue entry permits.
"Our office is ready to offer all needed services for public,” he said.
He said that the residency department headquarter is still opening its doors to public during the month of Ramdan from 8am till 6pm every day.
Major General Al Merri said the residency department’s office at Al Arabi Centre will receive urgent applications till midnight till the last day of Eid.
