Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Municipality has urged motorists that use roads leading to Al Salam-Hazza Bin Zayed and Al Salam-Al Falah intersections to use the permanent intersections across Al Salam and Eastern Ring Road. The temporary U-turns that were previously allowed between these two intersections will be closed.

This comes in line with the municipality's efforts to complete Al Salam Street, which will be the first freeway on Abu Dhabi Island.

Speed limits

The municipality, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ — Traffic and Patrols Directorate, encourages motorists to adhere to speed limits, obey all traffic laws and use the permanent intersections across Al Salam and Eastern Ring Road.

Pedestrians are urged to use proper crossing areas and bridges provided by the municipality for their safety.

The Al Salam Street Project will offer a state-of-the-art solution that meets the needs of a growing city.

It includes upgrading the existing road to an urban expressway with a network of roads and tunnels that will lead to free-flowing traffic.
