Dubai: Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, reviewed a new system that can alert motorists when visibility is curtailed especially by fog.
The solar-powered system was created by Emirati engineer Saeed Khalaf Al Hammadi. It warns drivers to leave a safe distance between vehicles and, in case of an accident ahead, helps avert pile-ups.
Lt Gen Dahi suggested improvements to make the system easier and cheaper to install.
