Abu Dhabi: Kalima, a major translation initiative by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, has issued the Arabic version of two books on the American constitution — Unruly Americans and the Origins of the Constitution by Woody Holton and The Summer of 1787: The Men Who Invented the Constitution by David O. Stewart.

These books offer great insight into constitutions for Arab readers, especially on the conditions that have helped to shape the values and civic life of other nations. In addition, these two books are bestsellers that have received awards around the world.

Holton, author of the first book, is an associate professor of history and American Studies and earned his PhD from Duke University, while Stewart, author of the second, has practised law in Washington, D.C. for more than a quarter of a century.
