Sharjah: A package of 200 diverse events will run as a part of the 11-day Kids Programme package alongside this year’s 31st edition of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF).

Taking place from November 7-17 at Expo Centre Sharjah. the SIBF management also announced that the cookery programme will feature 25 events throughout the fair, where chefs will give tutorials on Indian, Pakistani, Gulf and Middle Eastern cuisines.

The Kids Programme will consist of a wide range of events and activities, including arts, a colours corner, movie box, story reading sessions, puppet shows with magic tricks, a sign language presentation and shadow theatre.

Various workshops, including one on horses by Iraqi Mutasim Al Kubaisi and another on design by Iraqi artist Lama Usman, will also form part of the programme, which will also cover subjects such as paper folding, children’s theatre, chanting, magic games, and pastel drawing.

The events will be facilitated by specialists in children’s affairs as well as children representing various countries, including the UAE, Korea, Sweden, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, Tunisia and France.
