Dubai: The revered leader of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community on Friday announced that a gift of Dh21 million will be granted to members of the community in the form of “Qardhan Hasanah” or interest-free loans.

Syedi Aaliqadr Mufaddal Bhaisaheb Saifuddin, the nominated successor and son of Sultan ul Bohra Dr Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin Saheb and Supreme Head of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community, gave the announcement when he stopped over in Dubai on Friday. Saifuddin was returning from Haj Pilgrimage followed by brief visits to Kuwait and Egypt.
Saifuddin lauded the leaders of the UAE, stating that their affection for the people, vision and farsightedness have turned UAE into one of the fastest developing and prosperous nation in the world, while preserving well the basic values of humanism, Islamic heritage and peace. He prayed for further progress and prosperity of the country.
