Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited on Sunday the sets of the heritage competition show, Al Shara, that was aired by the Abu Dhabi TV Channel during the holy month of Ramadan.

While visiting the show’s set, whose penultimate series was aired on Sunday, Shaikh Mohammad was briefed about the theme of the show which features the history of the forefathers and personalities and landmark sites in a creative style to preserve the UAE’s local heritage.

Shaikh Mohammad also attended the last-minute preparations before the show went on air.

Shaikh Mohammad was accompanied by Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazroui, Culture and Heritage Advisor at the Crown Prince’s Court and Director-General of Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), which sponsored the show.

Shaikh Mohammed lauded the efforts the Abu Dhabi TV, ADACH and other stakeholders made to support such useful programmes that seek to safeguard local heritage and history of the UAE, which is in line with government policies to protect the national heritage and passing it to present and future generations.

Valuable prizes in the form of Purebred Arabian camels were given to the winners.
