Dubai: Dubai Aviation City Corporation is conducting an investigation into an incident in which five workers were injured during a routine test of some electric equipment in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport on Tuesday.

The corporation's Engineering Project Department said that the airport had achieved 13.9 million working hours without any untoward incident before this accident.

The department stressed that safety in the workplace always takes top priority as there are high standards and stringent safety measures in place at the airport facilities.

A team of experts is currently investigating the reasons behind the incident and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that such accidents do not happen again, the department said.
