Sharjah: Stargazers will get a treat on Saturday and Sunday as the Moon, Venus and Jupiter will align in a spectacular show in the night sky.

Astronomers say that Venus and Jupiter will continue to move closer to each other until they are just three degrees apart in mid-March.

Ebrahim Al Jarwan, a researcher at Sharjah Planetarium, said the Moon will be in its crescent form at that time.

In mid-February, the two planets were 20 degrees apart and that gap has narrowed to ten degrees. The moon will appear closer to Venus on Saturday and closer to Jupiter on Sunday.
