Abu Dhabi: The UAE Cabinet on Sunday approved a two-day holiday for the public sector on December 1 and 2 to celebrate the UAE’s 42nd National Day.

The holiday was approved at a Cabinet meeting, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
 
The Cabinet decided to bring the National Day holidays forward to the 1st and 2nd of December.

Shaikh Mohammad took the opportunity to congratulate the UAE people on the occasion.

Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, were present.
