Dubai: A Dh93.5 million super-yacht touted as the Rolls Royce of the sea is making waves at the Dubai International Boat Show.

The 139-foot Andiamo has heated granite floors, plush cabin bedrooms that seal off in emergencies, windsurfers, tenders, ocean kayaks, a sun-deck jacuzzi and barbecue corner, gym facilities, sky lounge, a study and even outdoor air-conditioning.

There is also a full kitchen, walk-in freezer and a dining area with mirrors designed to offer ocean views no matter where you sit. The aluminium superstructure expedition/adventure vessel — with a steel hull to smash through ice — has been around the world a few times and has docked for the boat show here for the first time, sales agent Dennis Frederiksen said.

"Among super-yachts, she is known as the Rolls Royce of the sea," he said.

Andiamo, which means "let's go" in Italian, is out at sea for six months every year since she was commissioned by a wealthy American businesswoman in 2003, who Frederiksen declined to name. "She is a lady, American, and loves her boat," he said. "This boat is her second home; she is renowned for never holding back when it comes to quality."

The eight-crew Andiamo took around 30 months to build at Holland's Feadship/Royal Van Lent shipyard. Its two diesel Caterpillar engines — each with 720bhp — can propel it to 13 knots.

"Her asking price is 19.5 million Euros (around Dh93.5 million), and I challenge anyone to find something better at the show," Frederiksen said.
