More Filipinos have become dissatisfied with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo because of her administration's inability to stop drug trafficking, increase tax collection, and forge a peace settlement with the communists, said the Social Weather Station (SWS) in its recent survey from November 3 to 21.

Despite Arroyo's high popularity net rating, her administration's net satisfaction rating declined on three issues.

She got only seven positive points, from a positive 14 points in July, on her efforts to revive peace talks with the communist National Democratic Front (NDF), the SWS said.

Her campaign against illegal drugs received a positive eight points, down by 10 points from a positive 18 points in June, the survey said.

The government's tax collection effort received a negative three points, down by seven points from a positive four points in July.

More Filipinos feel the administration has not done enough to eradicate graft, bring down the prices of basic commodities, prevent crimes against ordinary citizens, put an end to the Abu Sayyaf Group, and promote Muslim autonomy in Mindanao, southern Philippines, the survey showed.

Compared to its September 1-18 survey, the administration continued to suffer from a negative net public satisfaction rating on most of these issues, but the number of those dissatisfied on these issues has declined, the SWS said.
