Dubai Municipality launches summer training for Dubai pupils
The training covers different educational categories from grade 10 to the university level
Dubai Dubai Municipality has started this year's summer training programme for students, titled ‘Fruitful Summer 2010'. As part of the initiative, students are being deployed in various sections of the municipality where they will be treated as employees.
The programme is part of a policy to encourage students to use their leisure time in activities that are beneficial to them and the community.
Ahlam Mirza, head of the Human Resources Development section at Dubai Municipality said this year's programme includes a number of educational programmes that benefit students.
"The training covers different educational categories from grade 10 to the university level. The training will last for a full month for each trainee," she said.
An awareness and guidance workshop was organised during which an overview of the Municipality and its activities was given to the students.
