Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has intensified a drive against unsafe food in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police, other authorities and the public, a senior official said on Saturday .
“The drive which launched ahead of Eid found that vehicles not authorized by ADFCA have been used for food transportation, so we have intensified it”, Mohammad Jalal Al Reyaysa, Manager of Communication and Information Department at ADFCA said.
As Gulf News reported on November 28, ADFCA had sought the cooperation of the public to find the violations during Eid and throughout the extended holidays, especially with regard to the food transportation.
The official reiterated that only the vehicles licensed by ADFCA - that too for specific food items-should be used for food transportation.
