Sharjah: As part of its efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the city, Sharjah Municipality issued 2,400 hygiene violations in September.

Among the many violations, some of the most common included littering and washing cars in the street.

Inspection teams from the municipality monitoring the city around the clock are not limiting fines to littering, but to all forms of vandalism that may distort the city’s beauty, said Sultan Abdullah Al Mualla Director-General of Sharjah Municipality.

The Municipality also recently carried out several public awareness campaigns on hygiene and the preservation of the environment. With several schools being a part of the campaign, the Municipality was able to raise environmental awareness among students.
