Dubai: A boat caught fire near Shindagha area on Saturday morning.
A spokesperson from the Dubai Civil Defence said the small boat caught fire at around 11.20pm and took 20 minutes to put out. He said no injuries or deaths were reported.
Smoke billowed from the Shindagha area and was seen as far away as Ras Al Khor on Saturday morning.
The spokesperson clarified that the boat was not a dhow, but didn’t give further details. He said the fire was a “small one”.
