Rhode Island (RI) is home to nine diverse campuses, including Ivy League institution, Brown University. It is the smallest state in the US by area — only 77km long and 60km wide and is called the "Ocean State" because of its 644km coast line.
A recent report by the Institute of International Education stated an 8 per cent increase of international students in recent years, bringing their total number in the US close to 672,000 — a significant portion of whom are from GCC states.

Bryant University
Founded in 1863, Bryant is focused on providing academic programmes that integrate business and liberal arts to develop skill sets essential to every profession. It is located in Smithfield, Rhode Island and has 3,378 students from 51 countries at the undergraduate level. With over 200 graduate students, Bryant University offers unique master's degrees in Taxation.
Brown University
One of eight Ivy League universities, Brown is the research university in the nation where undergraduates can design their courses of study. Unlike other schools in America, The Alpert Medical School admits students as freshmen to a unique eight-year programme in Liberal Medical Education leading to the Doctor of Medicine degree.
Johnson and Wales University (JWU)
Since its founding in 1914, the Providence Campus has grown to become JWU's largest, with more than 10,000 students with an international student body from 98 countries. JWU is well known for culinary arts and hospitality programmes. There are other campus locations in US states: Denver, Colorado North Miami, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Roger Williams University
Situated on 140 acres overlooking Mount Hope Bay, the Roger Williams University (RWU) campus takes advantage of the New England coastline's natural beauty. Its location in Bristol, RI, is easily accessible from Providence, Boston or New York City. With 40 majors and 40 minors to choose from, RWU offers small classes with personal attention from faculty members.
Salve Regina University
Salve Regina (SR) is a private, coeducation university offering a comprehensive and innovative liberal arts education. The campuses is situated on more than 80 acres of land set on seven contiguous estates and features 21 structures of historic significance. Its diverse range of academic programmes is complemented by community service initiatives, extracurricular activities and athletics.
University of Rhode Island (URI)
URI has a vibrant campus atmosphere that includes more than 13,000 undergraduate students from 61 countries, with a student to faculty ratio of 14 to 1. Nearly 70 per cent of classes have less than 30 students and URI offers nearly 80 majors, including international programmes. In addition to the 1,200-acre Kingston campus, there is a 200-acre Bay Campus and a non-residential campus.
